hi,
i have a big project here. Replacing all capacitors of my Turbo Color Slab and its peripherals (Soundbox, Keyboard) before the hardware is dying.
My question is now, which capacitors are in the ADB Keyboard ? There are 3 (C1,C3,C7) of them. The only specs i can read is that they have 50V. But which capacity ?
Thanks and best regards
Marc
This is the only area that I have not touched yet on my machines mainly because capacitor failures would be benign in nature. They are too small to leak & damage the board and if they dry out, the keyboard / mouse would start behaving erratically. It is however on my list of things to do. If I am also not able to identify the capacitors by their markings I will measure their capacitance.
I will post my findings.
Okay thanks. Sounds fine. iam looking forward for your results concerning the capacity of the capacitors. My tip is 1uf but if think one of them is different...
I just checked one of my ADB keyboards and an ADB mouse.
All of the ADB keyboard electrolytic capacitors (C1, C3 and C7) are 85C, 1uF 50V made by Rubycon, 4mm diameter, 6mm height and ~2mm lead spacing.
The ADB mouse electrolytic capacitor (C3) is 85C, 10uF 16V made by Nichicon, 4mm diameter, 7mm height and ~2mm lead spacing.
Hey thanks very much. Thats good Info for me and hopefully for many members too.
I replaced the capacitors now and everything works fine (for the next 20 years) hopefully
