I'm fairly new to NeXT hardware.
I purchased a mono NeXTstation, a mono MegaPixel display, and NeXT laser printer with all of the original boxes and manuals back in 2010. The laser printer never seemed to work, so I gave up on it until recently.
Now that I have found some apps that actually make my NeXTstation useful, I want to use it. But the problem of the broken printer persists. I have searched the forum for an answer, but the symptoms of my machine don't quite match the other posts.
Symptoms: NeXTstation says "The printer is out of paper" for both manual feed and cassette loading. The printer does power on when OpenStep starts up, but does not make any sounds after power-up besides the fan. It doesn't jam, as it doesn't even try to load in the paper when printing. The print queue is not paused and the printer cable doesn't seem to be damaged.
