All,
I've decided to start on an exhaustive hardware reference for black hardware. What I mean by exhaustive is that I would like to take each component and break it down by specs/pinouts/replacement parts (especially caps). It will be quite a bit of work so I was wondering if you'd like to make this a community effort? I would also like to have suggestions for modern replacements where possible. I think we should take it one machine at a time , knowing that there will be overlap as we progress through the machines. I would like this document to be stand alone and pull together the great deal of hardware knowledge which is dispersed around this forum and elsewhere. Anyone interested in doing this?
Here is a rough example of what I was thinking structure wise:

Thanks,
Brian

Sounds good to me I have scanned in and uploaded a ton of original hard to find NeXT service manual docs here
http://www.blackholeinc.com/docs/ , a lot of them need to be concated into a single usable pdf document. Best regards Rob Blessin
