Hello NeXT Community: I'm like a Document making machine up in here LOL
For your Use the elusive DayDream reference Manual , a really cool product that allows the NeXT to boot up as a MAC running system ~ 7.6 using a DSP port Dongle with Apple Roms and software !  I'm sure someone would be able to make the DayDream pcb board .... anyone know the where abouts of the original Quix developers ?

The main issue we ran into with the Daydream box was chips with rubbed tops and a GAL chip with its security fuses set. Even if we ever find out what the IC's are there's no way to get an image of the GAL unless you either find the original binary or you destructively decap the chip to reset the fuses.

here is a basic description of the circuit:
* two 74HC4040 ICs are counters used to generate the addresses.
* GAL16V8 and the 74HC151 are used for address decoding and chip select.
* the 8-pin IC is probably a timer used to generate the clock for the address counters.

I suspect all this circuit is doing is reading the ROMs into memory at power up.

To reverse engineer the GAL logic, put a logic analyzer on the GAL output pins, the address bus, and the chip selects of the four ROMs. The use the addresses to build a truth table.

This is very doable.
