Title: Early 192.00 Keyboard?
Post by: barcher174 on September 14, 2014, 02:37:50 AM
I got this keyboard a while ago and noticed some differences in the key caps compared to the other keyboards in my collection. There are additional green silkscreened keys and the power button is different. The serial number leads me to believe that this is a very early unit. Anyone have some insights on this keyboard revision?

I'm not sure that it's early, but there is an amazing variety of model for keyboards... some subtle changes like the length of the cables etc. too.

For having one the first fully automated assembly lines the amount of variation is amazing. Do we have any information on the serial numbers for the keyboards?  I'm interested in building an 030 cube that is as close to the 1988 release as possible ( or before ).

The earliest ones say manufactured in Palo Alto and have small return keys verse L shaped.  I have a bunch of them for sale or trade. Best regards Rob Blessin
