We created this game on the NEXTSTEP operating system then compiled the game for DOS PCs. This is the book I used to learn how to program in Objective-C in 1993 to create DoomEd, DOOM's level editor, and later QuakeEd, QUAKE's level editor. This editor was also used to create Heretic, Hexen, and Strife levels."
Could this really be John Romero's eBay account?

Confirmed on twitter:
https://twitter.com/romeroIt is John Romero. So this is legitimately the book he learned to code Doom on NextStep. If I bought it, I'd ask him to sign it. :)

Wow, that's an insane amount for that book just because Romero owned it. Cool though.
One of my copies has Mahoney's signature. I don't think that one would go for $700 though ;)
To think that I own two copies of this book, and ebay recommends me another with a $15 BIN. ;)
Yeah, no way I was paying that much.
