Don't see these at all these days. Selling my one and only. Before I put on eBay, checking here. Probably sell for $200 to $250 range. This is a black SCSI based external floppy drive for NeXT, designed for NeXT. Really cool. As all old items, will sell as-is. Been years since I used it on my old NeXT. Since I sold my NeXT, no way to test. Best I can say is last it was connected a couple years back, it worked well.

Hi Brian, I have it up in the 1st message... $200 to $250 range is what I will put on eBay more than likely.
Would love to test it but sold all my NeXT. Worked last time I had connected to my Cube.
It is SCSI based and older Macs use a similar floppy tech but unsure if I can test on a Mac.
Anyway, right now that is what I am thinking for price since these are just not for sale this day and age.

I'm in at $200.

You in USA?
PM me your shipping address. I can get a quote. Then decide if I will part with it at $200 plus shipping. I will probably do it if in USA. Just hope someone can enjoy it.

Pending sale to Barcher.

I've tested my PLI Super Floppy 2.88 (looks just like the one in your picture) on Windows2k through a PCI SCSI controller (probably an NCR or Buslogic) many years ago. I try not to test things on NeXT if possible.
It was not working when I got it. I replaced the octal line driver to get it working - I think it was a 74HCT574, which I have found to be an unreliable device in the past.
I was able to mount a DOS 1.44 floppy and the right-click eject command in Explorer did unmount and eject the floppy. It worked fine on my '30 NeXT Computer too and I was able to boot from the NS 3.3 boot floppy.
I can't imagine why it wouldn't work on a Mac with a Mac 1.44 floppy.
If anyone else is interested in one, I have a PLI external like NeXTsociety's that's tested working (read/write/initialize). There's a couple of scratches. $150 shipped in the USA?

Has anyone got pictures of the external HDD? The cube that sold recently apparently had one, but I have never even seen pictures of a true NeXT external HDD.
