I know iTunes is awesome, I want to know that what tools does apple use to develp the iTunes store. Is it PHP, Asp or mySQl etc? How much time does they take to build it?

I know they used NeXT WebObjects at one point not sure currently , here is the link to the Apple Developer forums

I think a lot of it is still WebObjects, at least it was when I was talking to the iTunes team 5 years ago. At that time any new development was done in JSF.
Dunno what they use these days but I suspect a large portion is still done in WebObjects.
When I look at the iTunes URLs in a browser, it still references WebObjects, so I assume it's still the backbone of the iTunes servers. Assuming Apple keeps updating WO internally, it would still be a powerful framework for modern-day applications.
