I put 60 and 70 ns PS/2 SIMMs in my Color Station but it sticks to a 100 ns access time. Is that correct, i.e. the non-Turbos do not support faster access times?

I don't recall this being a limitation. What version of the ROM are you running?

The latest and greatest for non-Turbos: Rev. 2.5 v66. Right after a restart it says something about 100ns.

When I move windows around the machine struggles to copy all the bits in color. Still impressive of course taking into consideration that full window movement was not common in 1990.

when I saw this for the first time on a cube in the late eighties, this was a jaw-dropping feature, even on the 2bit grayscale display.
