I think I'm going to be getting a HP-PA RISC 712/60, this seems to be the entry model with smaller caches for the CPU. I had a look a Open PA but didn't see if the CPU is upgradable to the 80mhz chip, can anybody tell me if this is the case, and does it make much difference, I was told that HP-PA is a very sweet machine to run NEXTSTEP. Do the caches make a world of difference on PA like they do on PPC for example? I've been looking for an SS20 but I'm fed up of waiting and the PA is avaible now.
I'm also going to try and snag OS 4.2 for it, as I mentioned in another post, I know somebody that is supposed to have it.
Cheers

I have a HP 712-60 running NeXTStep 3.3 and it just hauls butt to me. BTW OpenStep does not run on the HP-PA systems only NeXTStep.
I may be selling my HP 712-60 shortly so if interested let me know otherwise it may end up on eBay if I decide to sell it.
