Hello,
Which versions softwares i need to setting up a "next AMP" server (Apache MySQL PHP on NEXTSTEP 3.3)... have you trying this installation ? And what is the compiler to use ? GNU GCC or other ?
I know AMP on BSD (on Cobalt qube2) and AMP on SOLARIS (Sol8/9) ! Maybe its the same process ?
Thanks.
TB
Hello Myux,
I haven't tried installing an AMP server, but I do know that Apache works well on NEXTSTEP 3.3. You can find compiled binaries for Apache here:
http://kb7sqi.dyndns.org/files/I have NEXTSTEP 3.3 Developer so I would be willing to help you create some new binaries.
Thanks,
I go to see that !
I keep the link and try later to install AMP.
I have working on COBALT QUBE and preparing a documentation to setup AMP on NetBSD 1.6.2 mips; i want to prepare an another docs for NEXTSTEP... just for the fun.
So your link is very interresting for me.
What is the compiler to make your package ? GCC ?
Have you used directly the SOURCES ?
Thanks.
TB
I haven't compiled from source yet, but it looks like fun so I'll give it a try. :) I'm going to try Apache for m68k first.
Just out of curiosity -- do you have the pre-compiled binary for apache.1.3.37 available? I notice you're running it on your server mentioned above, and the text on the page seems to indicate that it's still running on your NeXTstation. I've downloaded the 1.3.33 version you have; however, I'd like to get the latest 1.3.37 build with the security fixes. I can't get it to compile on my NeXTstation TurboColor; I get errors about unknown types.
Thanks!

Hi,
The site that I linked to belongs to someone else, so I don't know if they have a newer binary than 1.3.33. But I wouldn't mind taking a shot at compiling 1.3.37. Here's a few links that might help.
http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgihttp://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/install.htmlhttp://www.stepwise.com/Articles/Workbench/BuildingApache.html
If anyone needs it I can put together a package of 1.3.39...
*EDIT*
Actually here it is!
http://tiger.vaxenrule.com/apache-1.3.39.pkg.tarIt wasn't as hard to make as I had suspected...
#edit actually there is an issue with it's serialized accept.. I'm updating the source & rebuilding... I'll just keep it in the same place.
