Is there a trick to opening a NeXT Mouse ??
I'd like to open my mouse from the bottom, where the circular plastic ring holds the ball in, to clean it.
I recall doing this for Apple ADB mice years ago, popping the ring off & washing the ball and little roller wheels with isopropyl alcohol.
The ring does not want to turn.............. and of course there is no arrow on it indicating which direction is turns to open it.
Looking at the mouse (non-ADB, NeXT Part # 193) with the bottom facing up, OPEN is away from me and to the left, with CLOSE closer to me and to the right.
Does the ring turn CW or CCW to open ?? Or does it not turn ??
I've tried both and it does not want to budge.
