Has anyone done one of these? I men to something "strong" in the GHZ range (Xeon, Itanium, whatever) i would be curious to know.

This may be a stupid question, but I am still learning about this.

Not entirely sure why you would.
We all know about the Nitro board for the 68K machines and I've found that a 233mhz Pentium 1 is fine for the x86 platform. Once you start moving onto hardware that high-end the problem of drivers comes to mind.

pentium was not implying a CPU upgrade for the m68k hardware.  He was talking about running NEXTSTEP or OPENSTEP on i386 hardware.  Practically, Pentium 4 CPU is the limit for the i386 if you want to find drivers for the compatible hardware...
