Hi,
I own a NeXTStation Mono with a fairly good original Megapixel screen.

Has anyone the knowledge to retro fit a on/off switch for the screen, while leaving the machine on?

Wiring diagrams, or even just anecdotal advice would be appreciated.

I understand the original NeXTCube PSU required power load from the Megapixel display to operate.  I'm not sure about the 'station.

Cheers,

The station will run fine with no monitor load. You could put a switch between the station and the cable on the 12V line.

a reallly, REALLY dirty way to do it would be to put a switch inline with the cathode heater.
It does mean high voltage remains present but it also means the cathode, which wears out the fastest given the Megapixel's lack of any power management is preserved.
