This was my "Black Friday" shopping this year:

I haven't tested it yet, but at least finally I have one!
Nice! Probably not much to go wrong with the enclosure.
WOW! Does anyone know how much of these are selled?

Not sure... According to nextime (
http://nextcomputers.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=3368#3368) a while ago, there were tons of them.
I've only ever seen the one I got (serial number 1004) and the one that kenjay sold on eBay many years ago (serial number 1064).

OK, so there is any chance for me to get one too :-)
I've never seen them referred to in any official catalog or documentation so I don't think they were ever publicly sold. I had no idea they existed until kenjay's auction a few years ago. His was brand new, IIRC. Mine, sadly, doesn't have the key.
Once I get a chance to open it up I'll see if there are any date stamps anywhere. I'm really curious as to when they were made.

Cool never seen or heard of one of these before, I reckon a decent locksmith will sort the key out no sweat.
Take lots of pictures of the insides for us!
Wow, that's so cool. I've never seen or heard of one of these before now!
Very cool, thanks for sharing!
I will love to have one and to replace my SUN external SCSI HD
I'd love to see if there's any "smarts" on the back of the drive bay.
While it is all NeXT branded it's also clearly all OEM stuff and I recall until a few years ago I had a stack of removable bays that look identical, but they had a weird bit of logic on them for stuff like automatic ID negotiation.
Also, I noticed that the caddy is currently locked in. ;)
