I thought this was a cool mini cube!

Wow, that's the best I've seen yet by far.
I would totally buy that. I have a neat clear acrylic case for my Raspi 3, but I'd definitely replace it with this!!

Yup - I'd be in for one of those as well.
Too bad the printer files aren't referenced anywhere.
You guys will be proud: today I switched the window manager on my Raspi 3 from the default to Window Maker. :)
It seems to have enough space to put a fan inside, useful for pi3.
has any have in luck in contacting the creator to ask if the 3d files can be released?
Quote from: "Venture37"The creator has posted up a page for the project

Cool - thanks. I had seen that before, but hadn't noticed the downloadable STL files. Now that she has released those, I can order my own Cube from a 3D printing service.
I got the files and printed already, it is a real nice piece of work she had done
I need to sand and paint and for the logo :) an original mouse logo I have in pristine condition and by the size of the logo/ case it is a perfect match
:)

Where did you have it printed? I was looking at Sculpteo, but did not get to looking at pricing yet.
Hello NeXT Community: We are going to experiment with this , it is a game changer
https://3dprintingindustry.com/news/now-can-print-metal-3d-printer-85255/ How cool will this be a mini metal cube, I'm going to research and see if they have a magnesium composite plastic to metal filament as this would open up not only the mini cube project but replacement or custom tailored modified parts for the cubes and slabs ! :)

Aluminium composite will be a very expensive print, try just PLA , mine costed me £45, I quota 100% metal and it is really expensive

Cool - thanks - I'll upload the STL to get a quote. This would be so cool!

I got a quote of USD60~, which is very close to your £45.
Thanks for the pointer to 3dhubs.
I finally got around to printing this, just started and it will take quite awhile to print all of it. The biggest part took me almost 13 hours to print. Seems very nicely done.

Post pics as you are working this project!
I think I will probably try printing it again out of ABS before I get too carried away, it is harder to print but much easier to sand.
I do not have the super tiny .2mm nozzle she used for the one part, I tried it with my standard .4mm and was not to thrilled with it, the main cube parts printed OK but it will take a lot of work to smooth them out.
