Hi there,
I have a soundbox that doesn't provide..any sound. It works properly for Mic and other functionality keyboard, video, but I'm not able to use as speaker.
I got an issue during boot testing too, so I suppose some chips is not working. I guess some contact board-shell in somehow.
Do you guys know this issue and in that case do you have any recommendation?

Capacitors are the first thing to check/replace. Does the sound work from external speakers?

Actually doesn't work any output sound from internal speaker, headphone or using rca cable. Is really on mute.. While is working the internal microphone able to record with lips email feature.

The sound check at boot is really only looking for a 11.2896MHz signal on pin 17 of the NeXT ASIC. The chip marked with Keyboard IO here:
This means something has gone wrong with the sound chip or the surrounding passive components. Since the MIC is working I'm inclined to think the sound chip itself is OK.

Do you have any recommendation to check some pin?
Note: soundbox is modified for Non-ADB and it was working properly till one week ago after 1 year of great job...

First thing is to get some 100% acetone and clean the area (high grade alcohol will also work if you have it, but I've found acetone better on these boards). I see a lot of corroded traces. Focus on the right hand side of the board. Anything that is blackened is suspect. The chip marked bl05a is a 5v regulator and I would start there based on how it looks.

So I cleaned each single component and tracks using isopropyl alcohol that I had at home
Testing system on boot no changes:
Sound out Error code e2
While the board now makes ..a lot of noise! Better than previous mute, is a progress, but I'm able to listen only a super noise, anyway selection to change sound level is available again in preference.
Probably is the right way I need at this point to understand next steps

Looking for help...what I can check on that chip? If I understood is the error cause on test during boot
