Title: DVI - HDMI - DP - VGA

Hi Folks,

I am trying to clear the clutter a bit and move from two setups to one setup (one monitor, two PC's) so I have a 2k 27" Asus MG279Q. Currently, my NeXT PC box is using a Matrox G400 via VGA to a CRT.  As you can probably surmise I'd like to connect this NeXT box to the Asus monitor using DisplayPort (there are two inputs, so easy to switch) or it has two HDMI inputs so again easy to switch. So I can do one of the following and needs people's opinions/Feedback on these options.

1. Change the G400 to a G450 with a DVI out and go DVI out to DP
2. Same as 1. but to HDMI
3. Keep the G400 (technically better card with 128bit memory bus vs 64bit for the G450, this is not that big a deal but would be handy for the odd retro game on Win 98/2K) then go GO to DP
4. Same as 3. but to HDMI.

I know the G450 DVI to HDMI works as it's confirmed here: In This Post (http://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/index.php?topic=4106.msg23863#msg23863)

Clearly there might be issues with a 2k widescreen monitor, not sure and I won't know until I try I guess,.

Has anybody tried any of the above?

I would also if it's fairly easy like to use a KVM to switch this lot over using USB 3.1 Gen 1 KB & Mouse to PS/2 for the NeXT box and USB out to my other more modern PC, does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks
