I have designed 3D printed replacements for the NeXTcube Floppy and Optical drive blanking plates.
I have only been able to test the optical drive blanking plate as my cube has the dual optical bays but both were modeled off of the real blanking plate parts so the floppy should fit as well. If it doesn't let me know and I can tweak the design.

Great result, congratulations.
Another useful element to develop for 3D printing could be the Cube's rear slot covers :)
