Software development on Next machines

You found the best location for NeXT coders that I know of what is the problem you are having? 
Which bersion of NeXTSTEP are you developing with?

I ended up finding the cause of the problem. I was getting compilation errors on some variable declaration in my objective-c code. I then remembered that in these versions the declaration of variables must all be done at the beginning of a scope, and I was doing it interspersed with other statements.

But good to know I can search for help here in the future.

I've buyed 2 NeXTStations but non of them have the Developer tools installed.
From where I get/buy legal copies and what's the prefered way to install nowadays?
Dont remember if it was then floppies or CD. Are today also downloads available?

Hello Rorodev:  Do you know which version of NeXTstep you are running on your systems? And what size hard drive ? You can find the informtion by logging in as root and looking at the usr/adm/messages

Thats really a great alternative!

My system is 3.0 with a 100MB Quantum LP105S.
Recently I have the situation that it just starts up every now and then,
but that might also be because of the batteries?!
Will replace them this week (measuring them showed that they don't provide anymore 3V).

Btw. Do you have any Cube's "in stock". I never owned one and that's the last
I want to buy from my vintage computer bucket list (at least that's what I promised my wife, lol)

Can't wait to code again on it, it's my all time favored machine AND sytem.
