I recieved my Apple 600e in the mail today, and got an interesting suprise.  The unit was still carrying an asset tag from the US "Naval Undersea Warfare Center".  I have gotten things from time to time that carry academic or Department of Energy tags, but this is my first with a millitary related tag.

Kinda makes you wonder what it was used for, and where it has been in its past.

heh, I once mistyped the IP to a server I telnetted to and got :

"Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Well, something to that effect.

I remember Blackholeinc or maybe deepspacetech or spherical solutions (? don't remember) used to advertise their NeXT slabs and Cubes still had Air Force stickers on them. I bought my first cube from deepspacetech but Rob actually shipped it. It was very exciting to get that machine but it had no unusual stickers on it.

Blackholeinc used to have pics on the website that showed a couple of slabs with DOE/DOD stickers from Los Alamos national labs, if I remember correctly.
