Hi guys!

I'm actively searching for a BASIC interpreter I can run on my NeXT TurboColor. Other than one 11-year-old dead link to a personal DropBox account over in this very old thread  (http://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/index.php?topic=2515.msg14438#msg14438)(I've messaged that person, no reply yet), I just can't find much. Does anyone have or know of a BASIC interpreter I can run on my 'stealth pizzabox?' Thanks for any tips or suggestions!

Huxley

PS: I should note, I'm definitely aware that NeXTSTEP had a *ton* of other / better programming languages way beyond the complexity of BASIC... but my silly little project specifically requires BASIC, so here I am  ;D

I think one of the first places I'd look are one of the product catalogs that next put out for a few years. I'm pretty sure there was at least one basic in there.

Hi Huxley, I remember having used Bywater-BASIC (bw-basic) on my NeXT machine.
But maybe I am wrong here, as the oldest version I can find is from 2002 and also there is no evidence in my archives.

Anyhow I think that (at least the older versions) should compile fine on a NeXT box, so maybe you want to give it a try:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/bwbasic/files/bwbasic/

Cheers, Nuss
