Am looking for a NeXT ADB keyboard. I have a few non-ADB keyboards, so a trade is another option for someone wanting to switch. PM me if you are interested.
Chef
sorry i can't help you, but your post just reminded me of the extra adb next german keyboard and mice i sold on ebay a few years back thinking id never need them. they were new old stock and in mint condition. still had packaging. i didn't get much for them either. wonder what theyd go for today.
..ugh.
So nobody here has an ADB keyboard they are willing to sell? Something you might wish to trade for instead? Slab power supplies, ~500M next hard disks, monostation motherboard, NeXT logos?
Let me know.

If someone have a german ADB keyboard for selling, i can sell my USA-type one.

Thats the spirit. Lets get creative on this one.
Are the ADB keyboards in just that short of supply? Did they just not make that many of them, since apple keyboards would work as well? Did apple/mac users snap them up because they were black, and "looked different"?

I've never seen one fore sale (would want one myself) - but I shortly purchased a non adb keyboard (i didn't actually need it but i couldn't resist the fact, getting it in an original startingpoint box - sadly without the documentation it would include but anyway :D )
I understand that you (that's nextchef) you 've got some logos? - one of my stations is missing its :(

Yea, I have a couple I got with some parts lots I bought. Some are ok, and one is nearly mint (That one I am keeping for myself ;)). You can also take the logo off of a non-ADB keyboard if you have an extra one. If you are careful, you can always put it back on later with a little hot glue.

I know where you can get brand new ones - but there are two "catches"...
1. You will have to contact a person that sells on eBay routinely - through the eBay message system "contact seller". Since he is not currently selling this item, he may or may not respond to you. Do a search [advanced] for this seller: ronfronberg
2. The keyboards are "kanji" - which I don't know exactly what that means but - short of a better explanation - means that some of the keys are labelled slightly differently than the US keyboard layout. He was selling these at a flea market in Cupertino for $10 or $15 each. They are brand new.

I have bought things from him in the past, so I know how to get in contact with him.
Thanks for the tip,

Can you tell me the part number? I have two stating point kits here:
N8509
N5522-4312 (german upgrade kit)
and want to complete both boxes with bits and pieces i have.
Unfortunatly i don't know what in the box have to be.
Uhm - where would that be - unfortunatly the box has been mistreated in the past (tape! :( )
Is the cable for the adb keyboard a removable part? Is it just a standard adb type cable, or is it something special. If so, can another cable, like a s-video, be modified to work? I have found someone selling an ADB keyboard, but it has no cables with it. I will grab it if the price is not too high, I just wanted to know how to get it working.

I use a standard black S-Video cable w/ mine. Works perfectly.

Thanks for the verification. I thought someone had mentioned that before, but just wanted to be sure. Now I just need to hope the price is not too high for it.
