I missed the sad news a month ago and only learned about this today as I was searching for a book.

Nick Tredennick, one of the developers of the Motorola 68000, passed away last month: https://www.eejournal.com/article/nick-tredennick-requiem-for-a-heavyweight/ (https://www.eejournal.com/article/nick-tredennick-requiem-for-a-heavyweight/)

Among other innovations, he introduced the flowchart method for logic design. His textbook on the flowchart method can be found at archive.org (https://ia601706.us.archive.org/22/items/tredennick-microprocessor-logic-design/Tredennick-Microprocessor-logic-Design_text.pdf) and is also used in the patent describing the 68000 microcode (https://patents.google.com/patent/US4325121A/en).
