Hey all!
Well, first let me introduce myself a bit:
I'm new to this forum but I'm not new to NeXT at all. Until a few years ago I owned a NeXTstation Turbo Color with keyboard, mouse and soundbox. Unfortunately, the space in our appartment became less and less (our daughter was born), so that I needed to part with a lot of hardware. :'(
For almost 14 years now I'm a macOS and iOS developer (being in software development for about 30 years). Currently I'm not an owner of original black hardware. BUT...
I'm doing a bit 3D modeling, 3D printing and electronics. So I decided to design a NeXTcube mini case for a Raspberry Pi in a 1:2 scale. If you like, just have a look at the 3D rendered model of a NeXTcube mini case (

If you like, I'll keep you updated.
Cheers,
phranck
Hello Phranck: Welcome aboard , looks like a cool Mini Cube project :)
A warm welcome from Germany! :) The Cube 3D model looks great!
Welcome! My understanding is that its almost easier to find a cube than a pi right now ;D
Hello phrank, nice project! Will it run NeXTstep via Previous? Btw. Previous was mostly programmed in Lustenau ;)

Haha... Most of all for much less money! ;D

Lustenau? Really? 😳
I'm not sure what to install. Maybe I'll go with GNUstep.
Very nice. That area of the world is one of my favorite. I drove through Bregenz on my most recent trip to Europe.

Hi
@phranck and welcome to the forum.
What software did you use to make the 3D model? I used to use Solid Works (student edition) on my windows pc. I've been struggling with FreeCAD on Lubuntu but might give onshape a go as it is web based and made by the people who made Solid works and have a free hobbyist license which could be good for me as I don't need any of the simulation plug ins, and just do basic designs.
Well, that question is pretty old by now (why I do not get notifications via email?).
I'm using Shapr3D on a Mac. This software is very good but a bit pricey. However, since I'm a so called "Gamma Member" (has been invited by Shar3D itself), I can use the software for free.
