I wanted to give some background information about NeXTComputers.org so that the site structure is transparent and we don't get hate email from those that misunderstand. This site does not earn any money, not a single penny in 17+ years. It loses money because of the significant cost of hosting fees. There is no advertising, no AdSense, no user data sold, and no donations asked for or accepted. We don't sell anything, neither here or elsewhere, and that includes NeXT Black Hardware. All sales in the Classic Computer Marketplace forum are by members, and are separate from, and do not benefit NeXTComputers.org. We have never received or accepted any products for review, and all opinions on products are based on items purchased through retail channels. All of the time spent building and maintaining the site is 100% volunteer work, including my time, those of past moderators and helpers, and the wonderful forum members that contribute.
If you haven't helped out already but would like to, you can do so by becoming a member and joining the discussions. On many social media sites like this only about 1- 2% of people visiting the site contribute content. I would much rather read about your projects and what you have going on than to post content myself. Without content there's little reason for someone to visit us. You can write 'How-To' or 'How I Did It' type articles, help to rebuild the NeXTanswers archive, show pictures of your NeXT setup or even write some NeXT drivers if you're so inclined. You can start a work log, or post NeXT related news/videos that you run across, or perhaps organize an online game of NeXT DOOM. You can dig up some NeXT history, post pictures of your vintage Mac in the Apple section, or show off your latest 3-D printed creations. You can help other members by answering questions, sharing disktabs or drive image files, or telling stories of how you once fired up an old SCSI hard drive and let the smoke out.
I would like to thank all of the awesome forum members that have helped out with the site and participated over the years. It's because of you that the title of this post is Who We Are.
