Steve must've been furious when he saw the recording and noticed that he had been sitting for almost 10 minutes with his $100000 NeXT logo UPSIDE DOWN on the desk in front of him (although he did put it down that way himself).

While Steve gets up talking the first Sun guy smoothly fixes that at 11:15 ;D

Wow thanks for sharing this. I never saw this. I know SUN was Borg'd into Oracle, but what happened to Solaris etc. I guess it just vaporized through absorption.

That's the thing, the only thing that is better than free (Linux) is getting paid to use it and we haven't reached that stage yet although Microsoft is now spying on their users (windows X/Windows 11)and getting paid for their customers data or though that might only be on the free (home) edition.

Solaris still lives on in various guises... from memory Illumos and OpenIndiana are both still going. One of the few other players that supported Display Postscript (NeWS) though they were never as good as NeXT IMHO.
