Hi @Nitro , inspired by your post, I have scanned in some of my old flyers and brochures.

All of those 12 posts can now be found in "The Lounge". For this thread the following German price lists may be of interest:

German price list: NeXT Produktinformation und Preise Herbst 1991 (https://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/index.php?topic=5211)
German price list: NeXT Produktinformation und Preise Frühjahr 1992 (https://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/index.php?topic=5212)
German price list: DART software Preisliste März 1996 (https://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/index.php?topic=5213)

I'm trying to find the A3000UX (Unix AT&T SysVR4) price to compare it to the NeXT. It sold with a 68030@16Mhz or 25Mhz with 68882 FPU. (It also supported 68020 CPU).
It also bundled with a Commodore 2410 Graphics Card with 2MB RAM (https://bigbookofamigahardware.com/bboah/product.aspx?id=446) with 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 8bp (256 colours) resolution.
I don't know how much RAM or HDD space it came with.
AMIX came bundled with GCC as standard though.

I wonder how hard Tim Berners Lee had to push CERN to buy him a NeXT? That would be a cool document to view.

The developer Kit for 3.3 was $2500USD but the support would have been high quality.

Ok I found the price for the original Amiga 3000UX ($4,000USD) which can be used as a base with NeXT.

This is from a article in Byte Magazine, December 1990
Amiga 3000UX Page 1 (https://archive.org/details/byte-magazine-1990-12/page/n171/mode/1up)
Amiga 3000UX Page 2 (https://archive.org/details/byte-magazine-1990-12/page/n173/mode/1up)

QuoteThe base Amiga 3000UX machine includes a 25-MHz MC68030, a math coprocessor, 8 megabytes of RAM, a 100-MB SCSI drive (optional 200MB), and either a high resolution monochrome display or the standard Amiga color display.

System includes Unix System V release 4 and the X window System including Level 1 Open Look. Bundled with the operating system are two C compilers (AT&T and the GNU optimizing compiler).

I'm not going to lie, I prefer NeXT Step to OpenLook 8) and the ease of Interface Builder compared to trying to build a X11 app...
