I tried to find the Peanuts site but apparently it is dead. Did anyone mirror it or save the files before it's demise ?

We have many of the peanuts files available in our NeXT file archive:

http://www.nextcomputers.org/NeXTfiles/

Blackcube has an FTP mirror of the Peanuts archive:

ftp://ftp.blackcube.org/pub/Peanuts

The peak archive is online too:

ftp://ftp.peak.org/pub/next-ftp/

Wow ! They certainly do. Great.

I had found Peak and Channel U, but my big concern was the extensive Peanuts archive.

Thanks,
Lawrence

That's a good question.  :)
I'm backing up the archive today so I'll know the total file size tonight.  I'll create one or more DVD ISO images of the data and figure out how to make it available for download.

The Technical University Berlin has a nice NeXT archive.

//ftp.cs.tu-berlin.de

I don't think its actively maintained, but it's nice someone has left it up all of these years.

All of these links seem to be dead now. Has anyone kept a mirror of any of these?

I don't know of a mirror of the peak archive.  You may be able to contact TjL to see if he can help you.

I have 1.27gb of the peak archive mirrored, if you want me to put it somewhere just tell me where to put it. I have both ftp.peak.org and next-ftp.peak.org.

I also have ftp.funet.fi, ftp.idsoftware.com, and hartley.cc.purdue.edu.

I'll upload what I have and I found that archive.org seems to be hosting a much larger copy of the archive here:

https://archive.org/download/ftpsites_next.68k.org

My entire tree from next.68k.org (including peak) is around 2.5gb compressed, theirs is 35gb(!). I'm in process of downloading it to see what's inside, but I'm guessing it is a more up-to-date copy.
