Good attempt, but I can understand why Apple only allowed limited driver support.

At least Apple provided the headers for Driver developers, even though there were not examples provided.

Hello : I see he gave up :)  I think they had a VESA driver for video but when he finds the video card under configure.app , I don't think he set the resolution and refresh for the driver which when rebooting yeah no video then panic,

the Dell optiplex had more supported components as I recall and gateways were marginal.

I guess I'll have to make a rhapsody intel install video someday.

I remember when you search for VESA with the 4.2 (Patch 3) Kernel update, VESA functions show up in the code but I can't remember finding any in the Rhapsody Kernel :(, Well the 4.2 (Patch) VESA driver didn't work, I forgot the reason why, I think it was missing functions in the Kernel. Which makes sense as people might not have brought Apple hardware in the next 10 years if a VESA driver was released as you could use cheaper x86 hardware. Well maybe people would have still brought iPods (Remember those).

It does have supporting code in the /usr/standalone/i386/boot.

Also the list on Rhapsody OS site is pretty good. This is one of the problems I find with NetBSD as I am cheap and buy cheap laptop hardware, Wifi card is not supported or IntelHD card until a couple of years later.

8) The world/youTube needs more Rhapsody videos :) Especially in 1080p minimum.
Rob do you test Rhapsody on the White boxes you repair?
If it runs OpenStep 4.2 it will run Rhapsody as more drivers were released for Rhapsody?
