mpg123 for PA-RISC?

Anyone know if there is a HPPA-executable of mpg123?

There is XS3mod player for HPPA which does work. The app-packet includes a mpg123 file, but trying to run that from command line gives only "Segmentation fault". File-command says it's "fat file with two architechtures: hppa and sparc Mach-0 relocatable".

Another app I tried, MP3Player.app starts but complains about the same missing mpg123, the one inside that is only i386.

While XS3mod works for playing MP3 files, it's a bit sluggish and it can't (or at least I can't find a way) to play URLs. I've used mpg123 on Sparc (and Solaris) and those can play internet streams.

Can unfortunately not test on HP in near future by myself.

Thanks for the tip! I tried all four you listed. The "mpg123Converter.bundle/mpg123-0.59r" inside the XSmod.1.80.HS.b runs, but that seems to be only used for conversion as trying to use it for playback it says: "No audio device support compiled into this binary (use -s)" (the -s option is for writing to stdout).

Both of the executables under "mpg123.XS2AudioPlayer" (which I'd presume would have the audio device support) give the same "Segmentation fault" error.

Can you give some URL streams that you would like to play ?

I've been succesfully listening to http://radio-paralax.de:8000/ (the trailing slash seems to be of importance) on vintage Macs and on some Unix's, would be neat to have that on the PA-NeXT -machine as well!
