I know that with both the mono Megapixel and the ND board both available on the Cube, you can set the ND to be the "console" and main screen with the login box.
Then, by using a soundbox, you can skip the Megapixel and use the ND and it's screen as the only monitor on the system. Nice not to need two monitors!
However, more than once, I've lost whatever setting is necessary to keep that in force, and I end up not being able to log into the machine since the output and login box seem to be going to the missing Megapixel.
Is there a way to force the machine to use the ND board as the console all the time, or maybe a way to blind type commands in after powering up the machine?
I do need to check the status of my NVRAM battery, but other settings don't seem to be affected.
TIA for any advice!
For what it's worth, the battery in the Cube is sitting at 3.1 volts, so I don't think that's the problem.
I never had this problem, either with a Megapixel connected and the ND, or with only the ND... what version of OS are you running?
I'm running 3.3 with the Y2K patches and I might have tried 4.2.
