What are my CRT options for a NeXTStation Color slab?
I think I read in another thread that the monochrome monitors won't work with the color slab. That rules out the cooler looking model 4000 series monitors I guess?
But in terms of color CRTs, is it just the 17" and 21" color monitors from NeXT? Are those two the only ones that will work? Also I have never seen these color CRTs in person but are they Sony Trinitron or no? Pictures I see online make it look like the tube is curved both vertically and horizontally whereas the 4000 series monitors seem vertically flat but maybe I'm wrong (last time I saw the 4000 series monitors were back in the 1990s).
This is very late but any CRT that will accept a Sync-on-Green (SOG) signal should display from a NeXtstation Color or Turbo. I've used both Dell and SGI-branded Sony displays...
The CRTs can handle the non standard resolution?
