I have both internal and external BlueSCSI v2 units successfully booting my TurboStation Color and Dimension Cube machines. I was experimenting with having different NextStep / OpenStep releases across multiple hd files and attempting to boot from them so one SD card could be a wider history of releases.
I have 3.3 on sd(0,0,0) and 4.x (forget which) on sd(1,0,0). I've tried declaring the sd(1,0,0) as the boot source while also declaring that same drive as the root through additional arguments. I successfully see the 4.x kernel coming up, bit it appears to keep using the sd(0,0,0) root no matter the syntax I try. So I'm clearly starting up off the second target device and seeing that kernel, but not able to boot the corresponding OS release on that same drive.
Does anyone know for sure if this is possible (I saw come conflicting info earlier making me question this)? If so, can you give the precise example syntax you'd use in the ROM monitor to do it?
Thanks!
