Hello everyone, and happy new year 2025!
I have some NeXTstations that are missing NON-ADB keyboard and mouse.
Considering that these two original peripherals are now hard to find, could an adapter be created to use normal USB keyboards instead of NeXT keyboards?
I tried to contact drakware twice to ask if they will produce an adapter of this type in the future, but there was no answer.
I don't have the skills to do it: is there anyone out there interested in developing this project, if it is feasible?
Thanks!
A relatively well-known retro hardware company is in the process of making such an adapter, the wait shouldn't be too long now. As far as I'm aware the hardware is complete so once the case and cabling is sorted it should be with us soon enough.

Great news, thanks! So maybe the prices of the original NeXT peripherals will become more reasonable again... 8)

Will this take over for the necessity for a soundbox, or will that still be required?
Unknown.
