The First Apple product I brought was a 8GB Apple iPod Nano in 2008. It was the one with the wide screen that also came with games, I think Tetris (I never downloaded it). It also teamed up with Nike so you could buy an accelerator from Nike to put in your shoes to measure your fitness.
The iPod Nano I had was the one without the camera and the microphone I think that was the next model :'( .
I thought it was a great product, but the only thing I disliked about it was having to d/l iTunes to copy files to it, at the time it was annoying and my windows computer sucked and it was a slow and annoying program to use when all I wanted to do was copy music to the iPod. I didn't care about the video player in iTunes all I wanted to do was copy my mp3s to my iPod. Once I found a third party program that had managed to reverse engineer the database I was happy as the program was a lot smaller and then I could copy my mp3s to it.
It was just annoying having to add jpgs to the mp3s. I forgot the software I used on Windows to rip my CDs to MP3s (multimedia juke box perhaps?!?!) The iPod Nano was a great product though :). I wish they still sold and made those nanos as I don't like using my phone to bluetooth in the car (First world problems).
I'm guessing the patents have expired as I see cheap Chinese knock offs now available but the OS on those look like $h!7 compared to iOS. I would like remakes of the Nano widescreen version that came with the cheap camera and microphone headset for recording.
Your memories?
