Title: What should I offer?

I am in contact with a local seller that has a Sparcstation 10, 20, a Sun 17inch monitor and an Ultra 5 he wants to get rid of. I am wondering what a fair offer might be? No keyboards or mice are included. He also does not know anything about the unit specs. I was thinking 75$ or so if they all work? Am I in the right ballpark with that price?

$75 would be the max. I'd offer for this, given that you'll still need to get at least one kbd & mouse. In addition, have you verified that they work (have RAM and drives), and there's a 13W3 monitor cable for connecting to the monitor.

Note that the U5 uses different RAM from what goes in the SS10 & 20 (which uses the same type as goes in the U1,2,60, & 80, though only up to 64MB/DIMM). Nice thing is that all of these have readily available parts on eBay, including faster processor modules for cheap.

And best of all, of course, the SS10 & 20 can run NextStep!

Cheers,

...as long as no Ross HyperSparc modules are installed...
