Hi there, I'm wondering if this bus mouse would be a good candidate for a replacement Non ADB mouse.  Am I in luck?  :)  I would most likely spray paint it black to match. :)   fingers crossed. :)  This is what I'm basing this question on:  https://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/index.php?topic=4870.msg28802#msg28802

I get a "403 - Forbidden" error message when clicking your image links - not sure if the forum has a configuration problem here?

In general, all mice that simply deliver rectangle signals more or less directly from the photoelectric sensors can be converted. This includes not only PC bus mice, but also ones built for Atari STs and Amigas. I have attached the pinouts for NeXT non-ADB, Atari and Amiga mice just in case.

With some older (mechanical) PS/2 mice, you can also remove the microcontroller chip in the mouse and connect the sensor signals directly to the cable, perhaps using a Schmitt trigger IC (e.g. 7414) to improve signal integrity.
