Title: Rubber wheels

I was just resurrecting my cube from long term storage, and I noticed that when I slid the monitor out of the box (cube and monitor are still in lovely next boxes), the rubber 'wheels' had perished and are now a rather sticky and prolific goo.  SWMBO has decreed that its not coming in the house in that state....

So - has anyone in the UK got a spare pair from a dead mono that they want to donate in return for a few beer vouchers? Bear in mind that I am resurrecting this with a view to stuffing it on feepay, if that colours your judgement in any way. I just don't have the space to do it justice, and besides, any NS/OS goodness can be had through VMware these days.

I finally got myself a mono monitor, but it is in need of the "wheels" as well.  Mine has nothing left but some glue residue, so at least no sticky rubber mess to clean.  My first thought was to fashion a set of replacements from some hard rubber stock, but I have no Idea how or what the originals were constructed from.  Can someone explain how these work, and mabey provide a couple of pictures of them removed from the monitor.  If anyone has any they are willing to sell/trade for, let me know, as that would be preferred to a picture.

Thanks,

Chef

I purchased a set of wheels for my NeXT monitor about three months ago from Rob @ BlackHole Inc.  Cost was $10.00

Thanks for the tip.  I will have to drop Rob a note and see if he still has any.
