We all know that these drives have since died (wow, drives with a shelf life) but I really want to know in more detail how, why and find any possible solutions to remedy the problem.
I have successfully rervived two non-NeXT drives and even a minidisc player (they use MO technology don't forget) and since everyone is using theirs as a doorstop now I set my eyes to this drive.
On the down side, you need to live close to me (I got a feeling that these things are not lighter than an engine block). I live in the central interior of British columbia.
Anyone care to make their drive a test subject? Our only loss is one dead MO drive.
...I see nobody cares to assist.
Has anyone ever managed to get their files off a NeXT MO disk from another drive?
