I need a copy of openstep 4.xJ(please, no nextstep). I'm in the US.
Following up on this old post - does anyone have a copy of openstep 4.x Japanese release?
I'd also be interested in any Japanese releases... preferably even earlier releases.
bump. I'm back to looking for OS/J. Looking for the original media and/or docs. Thank you.
PM's sent.

ISO files containing japanese NS 3.3 and OS 4.2 can be found here:

I'm not 100% sure if the ISOs do contain japanese versions. but I assume "os42j.iso" refers to a japanese version...

Yes, the ISOs are for Japanese versions. However, the archive does't include the most important floppy image: System Registration Disk. Without the disk, NeXTSTEP 3.3J doesn't handle Japanese fonts correctly, such as Ryumin.
Can someone share the disk image?

Thanks Mike ,I'll try the iso's does anyone know if is 4.2j requires a special boot floppy as well ill see if I can install using the default next boot floppy . I would like to try both as I have some original NeXT adb kanji keyboards , it'll be cool to see if I can configure them to work correctly I'm guessing it is a matter of installing the language and fonts correctly and probably the boot floppy. They might have them in the Apple archives.
there are also images of the floppies included in this archive. but I can't find this "System Registration Disk" mentioned by hitaka2006...

It seems that the disk creates /usr/nje/bin/Registration. Maybe, we can copy the file from a working environment?
I think the registration disk could be just for enabling the licensed Japanese fonts. There may be other open-source Japanese fonts that can be installed which could substitute for the licensed ones.

I skimmed the Japanese pages, and it seems that the registration is connected to a disk ID.
