I've got more to upload too, though I may put them on Google Video instead, since there isn't (yet) a restriction on runtime there, it appears.

Great video! It's fascinating to see the NeXT computer actually being used (in a fairly non-geeky way) instead of just demonstrated. It's interesting to hear that Tim Burton bought 5, as well!

How about putting the videos on the boards file archive as well, so one does not have to strip them from youtube.

Incidentally, I asked Apple (Ernest Prabhakar) about posting these videos, and got back:

QuoteI'm afraid I can't speak for the various copyright holders, which may include artists and actors.  However, the usual procedure is to post the content (including the various copyrights) on a reputable site, and if the rights owners object there is a process for having them removed.

So that's what I'll be doing.  I'll go ahead and finish posting the ones I have to Google Video soon.

Thats the one !
Did you notice in the video highlights from 1990 that the cube had optional CD-ROM internal?? I've never seen a stock cube with an internal CD-ROM...
(of course I've only seen about 20 cubes in person)
Too bad that jpeg hardware compression never made it in to the dimension.
I want to see the demo where Steve puts Donald Duck(R) on his head. (nextworld 1990??)

Thanks for the video links :)

Yes, that's something that interested me.  I have some pricelists and other literature from NeXT showing cubes with an internal CD-ROM drive as an option, but I too have never seen this as a configured option.  At some point along the way I got a loose CD-ROM drive (of the same kind present in the N3010 external drives) but it was probably just removed from an N3010.
