Anyone know an adhesive that I can use to repair an LCD? I need to reattach a thin ribbon cable to the edge traces on the panel, so it must be conductive.   I can press it down and restore the picture, so hopefully the right glue will fix it. The strip missing is the far left edge, extending in about an inch, so makes the LCD not very useful.  It is an SGI 1600SW that I have pieced together from 3  "Broken" LCD's , so it would be nice to get it working fully.

Just a thought, but wouldn't a conductive glue conduct across every other contact?

Maybe some non-conductive (CA) glue and some sort of substrate (First Aid tape) to lessen the brittleness?

Good point about the cross conductivity.  I did try a small dab of superglue to attach one small corner, but that section no longer seemed to function when glued.  I even tried applying some heat to the junction, thinking that mabey it is some kind of thermal set glue, but that did not seem to work.  I wonder how these things are attached originally during manufacture.
