So, I have a stack of old color stations in storage which all have 6 of their 8 memory banks with broken clips(I got these all free long time ago). That means max amount of memory is 8meg on these(I dont have the time or energy to fix them). The oldest release I have is 1.0a, but that doesn't support color stations, and release 3.0 or later is dog slow under 8megs. Before I start using these in a netbsd and/or a plan9 setup, does anyone have a 2.0/2.1/2.2 working release? I'll pay/trade/whatever. PM me, thanks.

All mentioned releases are existing on OD and maybe as big disk sets, but no one seems to have it.
Release 2.2 also was the first Release on CD-ROM and again no one seems to have it.
I'm searching for years for this software, released on any other media than OD.
Hey multi,
a trick I use to fix the problem you're having on some of my older machines is to use a hot-glue-gun, and glue the SIMMs/RAM into place. Usually works just dandy :) You should try it out before tossing them suckers or doing whatever else with them
As for older releases (2.x), I also don't have one :(
Once on my NeXTstation Turbo there was 2.2 installed. But I think I never had any System disks. After I updated to 3.0, 2.2 was history...
@multi:
how big do you think a tarball of that 1.0x system would be? I'd love to dd an image to a blank SCSI disk and check it out some day! <hint hint>
make is a gzip and it shouldnt be more than ~100mb or so :)
I'd love to be able to mess with a really old release like that as well! :)

Shamelessly stolen from a T-shirt I used to have. :D
