I tried to keep up with patching the default screensaver with the NeXT logo, but they keep changing it in subtle ways so it breaks and is harder to patch: http://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/index.php?topic=2635.msg17864#msg17864

I have also tried to replicate the fading cube in quartz composer with limited success. May have to dredge it up.
