As I recall NeXTSTEP 3.0 had built in support for connecting to AppleShare servers. If I recall correctly NeXT depreciated (removed) this support in later 3.x versions.
Can anyone verify if my memory is correct?
Secondly, anyone use CAP for NeXTSTEP?

yes, you are correct. it had something to do with the licensing scheme of apple. people tryed to install the 3.0 packages over 3.3, but that did'nt work (kernel panics) so the only option we have is CAPer, but that only emulates classic networking, not ip based. for a connection to a mac, nfs or ftp is the way to go
