I've some troubles with my NeXT Laser Printer since yesterday: After I came back from holiday (I was off 3 weeks), the Laser Print does not print anymore. It's powering on at system startup and I can see the light of the developer unit (?) as usual. But as soon as I want to print a document the Laser Printer simply does not print. When I open the printer a message appears "... is open" and when I close it the message disappears but the printer does not make that special noise when I close it anymore (the sound is similar to the sound if the printer is start printing). All in all: Printer has power but does not print. I checked cables already.
Any idea what to do? Is there a diagnostic tool?
Something new: It looks like the problem is something with the toner cartridge or the mechanism of the printer recognizing that there is a toner cartridge in the printer.
Does anybody have information which parts of the printer are used for recognizing the toner cartridge?
