Makes me wonder, did anyone ever port Mini vMac to NextStep? That's an awesome Mac Plus emulator that should work acceptably on a 040.

Hi @wlewisiii , have not found any trace of your mentioned Mini vMac in the (Usenet and FTP) archives.

Personally I only know about Executor for Mac emulation:

Although I found information about one more Mac emulator, I have never seen this in real:

Yeah, doesn't look like anyone ever did that. I have enough projects right now so I won't add to the pile!

Ah well, would have been amusing.

Basilisk II should also be interesting here. If I remember correctly, it can run native 68k code in the Amiga version, so a 68040 should be quite fast.

And there's always Daydream/Darkmatter which gives you a native MacOS port to black hardware.

Well, that screenshot lead me down a rabbit hole...

Executor 2.0 ISO here: https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZsq80ZrzoxFYykm6HjbwS4EHVew04ALkCy

Serial info from the developer here: https://forum.winworldpc.com/discussion/11498/executor-2-0

Off to login as root to see if it works ;)

And it does. The Oh No More Lemmings demo included is a wee bit slow (color & etc) but I'd bet older B&W games would run well in it. Just have to figure out how to get all the old games _into_ it :D
